The Short Sighted Church
HOW IT CAME TO BELIEVE IT HAS REPLACED ISRAEL

The church has become very short sighted. It has lost sight of the fact that the Bible was predominantly written by Jews, for Jews and about Jews. Nearly 80% of the Bible relates to national Israel, and over a quarter of that 80% is prophetic (predictive) about Israel's role in the future plans and purposes of God; the name "Israel" is used in the Bible over 2,000 times. How did the Church lose sight of something so obvious? Through it casting off the original Hebrew lenses God intended His Word to be understood through, in favour of the lenses of Greek thinking. Most Christians today have no idea their understanding of their faith is obscured by the wrong lenses. This is no small matter, because not only have the wrong lenses caused the church to conclude it has replaced Israel and the Jews in the future plans and purposes of God, they have also obscured and put out of focus other important Biblical doctrines that would otherwise be understood with clarity, but instead have been wrongly ridiculed and maligned. This book therefore explains how the church came to cast off the original Hebrew lenses God intended, and how restoring them puts the Christian faith back in to its correct focus and the church and Israel back in their rightful places in the plans and purposes of God. Much of the Church is using the wrong lenses and is short sighted because of it.
